Bradley-Walker Home, Eustis Street
This Dutch Colonial home was designed by the architect, Herbert Colwell, who built two other Dutch Colonial homes in the downtown area and also designed East Clinton School.
The house was built for John and Rachael Bradley who had purchased the lot from the Cooper family in 1896. The Bradleys were natives of Pennsylvania who moved here when Mr. Bradley opened Huntsville's first automobile dealership. The house remained in the family over fifty years. In the late 1950's, it was sold and divided into apartments. The present owners, Dr. and Mrs. J. Edward Walker, Jr., purchased and completely restored the house in 1979. Sketched by Lee Harless in 1986.
