Yeatman-Moore Home, Randolph Street
Built in 1885 by Minnie Yeatman, this Victorian home has been restored by its present owners, Mr. and Mrs. Michael C. Moore. Purchased in 1981, they have replaced the 1930's porch with one similar to the original, added a cherry paneled library upstairs, and, in 1984, a pool and deck. Sketched by Trice Hinds, 1987.
"In the early part of this century, this home was involved in a fire. At that time, the home was owned by the Butler sisters. After being warned of a fire next door, these ladies refused to come out until totally dressed even down to their gloves. There is still evidence of this fire in the entry hall floor."
