MASTIN-BATSON HOME, Franklin Street
Rare in its frame construction is this Franklin Street Mastin-Batson home, ca. 1819. Perhaps it survived because of the brick kitchen which is more fireproof than the house itself. The artist, Lee Harless, Jr., sketched this kitchen wing of the house in 1978.
