Grayson-Sullins Home, Franklin Street
This 1901 Dutch colonial revival style house was designed by Herbert Cowell for the Grayson family. A.M. Booth, a local contractor, was the builder. Edward C. Betts, the author of Early History of Huntsville, Alabama 1804 to 1870, and Judge Advocate-General to General Eisenhower, ETO, bought the house in 1919. It is currently owned by Dr. and Mrs. William H. Sullins who have added an upstairs porch and a deck to the rear of the house. Sketched by Lee Harless, Jr. in 1987.
