• Gregory Falls is a fictional character in Norah Davis's novel, The Northerner, published in 1905. "The novel's setting was Huntsville, Alabama, and it was an indictment of race relations in the South. Her central character was Gregory Falls, believed to be Tracey Pratt, who came south to educate the 'sinful southerners.' He was not a bigot and brought progress through fairness to the 'small sleepy town.' He saved a Negro man from a mob lynching and made the 'south safe again.'" - Simpson
