LynchedNotes:• Amanda "Mandy" Franks was lynched for the 1897 poisoning death Dr. Llewellyn Jordan, a former county commissioner. This is what Record says: "Tragically, he was poisoned and died, while just two months later six of his family, along with eight negro servants, were also poisoned, but not fatally. Two negro women, Mollie Smith and Mandy Franks, were lynched for the poisoning." - Record
