•  There is evidence of Benjamin Franks being in Madison County, AL area as early as 1808. - Record

•  Record offers a 1834 list of "Overseers of the Poor" it appears that Williamson Lovett was an overseer for Benj. Franks. - Record

•  "Benjamin Franks settled on what is now known as the Whitman Place, across from Charlie Hillis on New Market Road on Hesters Creek and Mountain Fork of Flint. He was a local preacher of the Methodist Church and afterwards sold his land to Ebenezer Chorn." - New Market

•  Justice of the Peace starting Dec. 9, 1816. - TVGS
