Dr. Terry Greer officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 7 at Mr. Garrett's home. Mr. Garrett, who died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007, at Decatur General Hospital, was born Aug. 9, 1924. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Decatur. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a 1947 graduate of Auburn University. Mr. Garrett and his brother had farmed the Garrett farm in Limestone County since 1947. Survivors include one brother, James H. "Buddy" Garrett; two sons, Edmond Peter Garrett III and John Palmer Garrett; and two grandchildren, Eddie Garrett and Ginny Garrett. Honorary pallbearers will be the Harris Lend-a-Hand Sunday school class. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Decatur or to Hospice of Limestone County."
