Notes:

•  "George Sharp Gillespie (1888-1981), was the eighth child of Samuel and Eliza Jane. In 1917, he built his house on Gillespie Road, across the road from his father's. He was to marry Nora Mae McElwee (1891-1989) in October of that year but was called to fight in World War I. Their wedding did not take place until October 9, 1919. Their union was blessed with two children Agertha Jane Gillespie (1920-1983) and Charles Samuel Gillespie (1922- ). 'Mister Sharp,' as he was known by everyone in the community, was a prosperous farmer and a leader of the community for many, many years. He also served as Justice of the Peace for Madison County. Both 'Mister Sharp' and 'Miss Nora' were members of the Presbyterian church and both lived well into their nineties. They are buried next to each other in the Gillespie family plot in the Madison Cemetery." - Heritage: Hailey
