•  "During World War II, he enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps in May of 1942, and served as First Lieutenant Fighter Pilot in P -51's in Italy from October 1944 to August 1945, engaging in 25 combat missions. Mr. Bunn was awarded the Air Medal with five Oak Leaf Clusters, and the 31st Fighter Group, to which he was assigned, received two Presidential Citations." - Grove

•  "Mr. Bunn began his career as Test Engineer for Pratt Whitney Aircraft in Hartford, Connecticut, May 1946 to May 1947. He became Foreman for Pullman Standard Car Manufacturing Company, Bessemer, Alabama, July 1947 to October 1949. From October 1949 to June 1951, he served as Construction Engineer for Davidson Construction Company and Chastain Construction Company, Montgomery. Since that time, he has been engaged as Missile Test Engineer for the Department of the United States Army at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. He is a member of the Board for Polar Arctic Expeditions. Mr. Bunn is a member of Professional Engineering Society. Active in the Junior Chamber of Commerce, he served as Chairman for Youth Activities in 1956, and as a member of the Board of Directors, 1957. As a public servant, Mr. Bunn is a member of the Board of Directors for Madison Heights Citizen Committee, Huntsville." - Grove
