•  "He married, 4/1/1784, in Chester District, South Carolina, Agnes Wilson, born, 5/9/1765, Chester District, South Carolina, and died, 1/21/1847, in Morgan County, Alabama, buried, Stringer Family Cemetery in Morgan County, Alabama. She was the daughter of Hugh Wilson of Chester District, South Carolina." - Heritage

•  "Owen served as Corporal, in South Carolina Militia, under Capt. William Brown of the Regiment commanded by Col. Sumpter, for the term of 14 months from, 4/1/1776, to, 6/1/1777. He participated in the battles of Rocky Mount, Fort Moultrie, was at Huck's defeat and battle at Ramsour's Mill in the Dutch Fork." - Heritage

•  Children:      (1) Isabel Evans born, 12/3/1785, Chester District, South Carolina, died by 1847.
     (2) Rachel Evans born, 11/1/1787, Chester District, South Carolina.
     (3) Hannah Evans born, 9/25/1789, South Carolina, died by 1847. Name of her husband is unknown, but she had three daughters.
     (4) John Evans born, 7/2/1791, Pendleton District, South Carolina.
     (5) Keziah Evans born, 9/2/1793, Pendleton District, South Carolina, married twice. The name of her first husband is unknown. Her second husband was Hammon Morris.
     (6) Josiah Evans who was born, 4/4/1795, died, 8/15/1868, Morgan County, Alabama, was a member of the Cotaco County, Alabama Militia (organized under the laws of 1819), on, 5/22/1820, in the 2nd Division, 3rd Brigade, 6th Regt., listed with rank of Ens. Josiah married, 1/15/1818, Madison County, Alabama,), Mary E. Denson. She was born in 1798, North Carolina. They are buried in the Stringer Family Cemetery in Morgan County, Alabama, near Somerville, Morgan.
     (7) Nancy A. Evans, daughter of Owen and Anges Wilson Evans born, 12/11/1833, married, 8/4/1855, Morgan County, Alabama, Andrew Jackson Sharp Mable Evans born c. 1842 listed on the 1870 Morgan County Census living with the Sharp family and may be a daughter of Josiah and Mary.
     (8) Mary Evans was born 12/26/1796, Pendleton Dist., South Carolina.
     (9) Abisha Evans born 12/30/1799, Pendleton Dist., South Carolina. His wife unknown, but two children.
     (10) William Evans born, 6/22/1802, Pendleton Dist., South Carolina, married Mary Ann unknown born c. 1812, TN.
     (11) Loranzo D. Evans born, 3/10/1805, Pendleton Dist., South Carolina, married, 6/26/1825, Morgan County, Alabama, Phoeba "Pheby" Rice, born 1806, Tennessee.
     (12) Nancy Evans born, 11/4/1807, Pendleton Dist., South Carolina. - Heritage
