• In 1907, Anna T. Jeanes, a Philadelphia Quaker, consulted with Booker T. Washington about schools for African American children in the south. She established a $1 million fund for supervision of black schools. Addison Fields assumed the duties of supervisor in 1953, but by that time the funding was depleted and the program near its end. - Rohr
• In the marriage records of Madison County, there is a record of a Addison Joseph Fields marriage license to Glenda Morton Jone on October 30, 1970. This might be the same person. - MCRC
