John T. Fish

 Union officer

Notes:

•  A union officer named "Fish" was mentioned several times in the diaries and accounts of the times when the Union Forces held possession of Huntsville. His rank is unclear. He was referred to as Col., Capt., and Lt. in the writing. Mrs. Chadick mentioned him in her diary (Dec. 22, 1864). She played with the "Fish" name in a clever way. - Editor's Note
