•  "James Goodwin Fisk joined the Confederate Army (Co. D, 13 Regiment, Tennessee Cavalry, Colonel Dibrell Brigade) at Sparta, White County, Tennessee in April 1864. He was captured by Union troops on September 6, 1864 near Woodbury, Tennessee. He was sent as a prisoner by railroad to Nashville, TN, Louisville, KY and arrived at Camp Chase, Ohio (on the eastern edge of Columbus, Ohio) on September 16, 1864. He was released from Camp Chase on March 26, 1865. According to his oath of allegiance he had fair complexion, light hair, blue eyes, and was 5 ft. 10in. in height." - Find A Grave
