•  Obituary:      "Dr. June White Aycock Foley, 88, of Huntsville passed away Monday.
     She was preceded in death by her husband, James Burns Foley; parents, William Hubert Aycock Sr. and Orine White Aycock; and brother, William Hubert Aycock Jr.
     In 1942, she married Mr. Foley in Fort Riley, Kan. She graduated from Athens High School and attended Athens College and Vanderbilt University, graduating from Vanderbilt School of Medicine in 1955. She served her medical residency at North Carolina Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, N.C., then worked for two years in the student infirmary at Wake Forest College in Winston-Salem.
     The family moved to Huntsville in September 1959, where she went into practice with Dr. John Reece in the Old Parkway City Mall. She later practiced with Dr. Ann Wouters and then later with Dr. Anna Bordenca. She retired from medical practice in 1992.
     Dr. Foley was a member of the Huntsville Hospital Foundation, the American Pediatrics Association and First Baptist Church of Huntsville. She was also a donor and supporter of the Huntsville Botanical Garden and she regularly supported the Huntsville Broadway Theater League since its inception.
     Survivors include two sons, James R. Foley and wife Janet and Bruce A. Foley, all of Huntsville; two granddaughters, Erin Foley Ferrara and husband Keith of Nashville and Karen Foley Gildersleeve and husband Ryan of Stamford, Conn.; sister, Francis Cross of Jasper; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and several close friends, including Julie Leslie, Clara Lacy and Dr. Anna Bordenca.
     Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Dr. David Hull officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. at Athens City Cemetery.
     In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Huntsville Hospital Foundation, Vanderbilt University or a favorite charity." - Laughlin
