McKissack decided it would be splendid to involve club spouses in a big celebration planned for the 50th anniversary. With help and encouragement from Lutheran minister Rev. George Hart, McKissack convinced enough wives to attend an organizational meeting. It was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, in the ball room of the Russel Erskine Hotel and was attended by 23 wives of active Rotarians." Mrs. Otis F.
