•  Lavetta Kull, in her entry about Julius Kull, tells of his friendship with Michael Ghidotti. They were both immigrates (he from Switzerland & Michael from Italy)and first settled in Chicago. A land agent from Madison County, Alabama came to Chicago to get settlers to come to Northwest Madison county. The two men homesteaded adjoining farms on the State Line Road. Both acquired 158.5 acres and took permanent residence. Julius married America C. Culps and Michael married her Aunt America Tennessee. - Heritage
