•  Huntsville, Alabama, Route #3
     Born July 10, 1840 in Madison Co., Ala. Entered service as a private in April, 1861 at Athens, Ala. in Co. A, 44th Tennessee Infantry and continued until captured at Island No. 10, Tennessee. Afterwards he was transferred to 54th Alabama and continued in same until close of war in 1865.
     Note: Died May 8, 1912 and buried at St. John Cemetery next to his wife, Pairlee Graviet (slightly different spelling)" - 1907 Confederate Census.
