New Hope Cemetery New Hope Cemetery Location: Section 11, Township 6, Range 2 East. In the center of the SW SW NW. Located about Z? mile south of the center of the present town of New Hope. The W/2 of the NW/4, in which this cemetery is located, was patented by Robert Owen on October 5, 1830. Mr. Owen and many of his descendants are buried here. The town of New Hope was originally called Vienna (until it was destroyed by a devastating fire) and is shown on 1875 maps by that name. By 1888 the town was listed on maps as New Hope.
