Note: A notice in a local newspaper stated that Lula, dau. of Wm. P. & Sarah J. Smith, a granddaughter of Horatio H. Haden, died 28 Aug 1868 aged 8 mo.

Dilworth. George Dilworth[‘s] wife Nancy. 1789 - 1858. [Note: A bronze plaque set in cement at the foot of this grave states as follows: “George Dilworth Wife Nancy. First Dilworth to Settle in Madison County. U. S. Land Grant 1809.”] Editor's note: Both dates must be questioned. The 1850 and 1860 censuses show Nancy alive and well and born in NC in 1798-9. She could not have died in 1858 and still be on the 1860 census.
Dilworth. Robert Eason, son of J. D. & Lou Dilworth. Born & Died 1881.
Dilworth. Nannie Louise, wife of John D. Dilworth. 1857 - 1883. [Note: A bronze plaque set in cement at the foot of this grave reads as follows: “Lou Clark Dilworth, 1857 - 1883. To Honor & Commorate the Pioneer Dilworths Buried in this Cemetery, 1800 - 1860.”]
Ed. Note: The date “1800” must be questioned; however, it is possible the progenitor, George Dilworth, did live among the Indians prior to the Treaty allowing settlers to purchase Indian land. He is listed on the 1809 Squatter Census.

Hamilton. John Hamilton Died Nov., 1880 Age 63 years.
Hamilton. Ann, wife of John Hamilton. Died July 9, 1901 Age 84 years.
