Bush Cemetery Location: NE NW of Sec. 7-6-2E. Approx. four miles west of New Hope, Ala. NOTE: There were many graves in this cemetery marked with unlettered fieldstones. Messrs Richard L. Russell and the late Lenzie L. Russell (obituary added at end of this survey), whose family cemetery this is, accompanied me to this graveyard and told me who was buried in most of the unmarked graves. They also supplied other information such as middle names, spouses, and relationships. The information in brackets has been supplied by them along with most of the explanations. Copied in 1980 and updated in March, 1981. Row 1, North to South. Esslinger. Harvey B. Esslinger. 1877 - 1948. Esslinger. Nancy H. Esslinger. 1879 - 1940. [She was the dau. of John Bill Hornbuckle.] Maddox. Unlettered fieldstone. [This is the grave of Shelby Maddox who was the nephew of Harvey B. Esslinger and who made his home with Harvey B. and Nancy H. Esslinger after his mother's death. Shelby had two sisters who were killed in a storm in Marshall County. No dates available.] Esslinger. H. B., son of H. B. & M. E. Esslinger. Born Sept. 1, 1916 - Died Oct. 26, 1916. Esslinger. Marie Esslinger. Born Aug. 8, 1906 - Died Oct. 3, 1909. [Dau. of H. B. & M. E. Esslinger.] Esslinger. Lizzie Esslinger. [Unlettered fieldstone. A sister of Harvey Esslinger, Lizzie was a single lady who died around 1900.] Esslinger. Andrew J. Esslinger. 1850- 1905 ) ) Dbl. stone. Esslinger. Frances E. Esslinger 1850 - 1895 ) [There are seven unlettered fieldstones here. They are all graves of Esslingers. Charles Esslinger was a brother of Andrew Esslinger. These are the graves of Charles's first wife, Molly, and their six children. Molly is buried here with three children on each side of her.
