Ebenezer Presbyterian Church Cemetery Note: This church was established October 25, 1834 and some of the charter members are buried in the cemetery behind the church. There are many unmarked graves here and some marked only with unlettered fieldstones. We must extend our appreciation to the late Messrs Joe and Tom Nalls who were so very helpful when this cemetery was copied. Before his death, Joe Nalls did family and church research and furnished us with a sheet of information which we have included here as the last page of this cemetery's enumeration. Sanford. Aug. 23, 1847 - May 29, 1934. Bell. E. Oscar Bell. April 12, 1880 - Oct. 26, 1936. Wright. Belle Wright. June 9, 1885 - Oct. 30, 1906. Collins.... This is an above-ground tomb covered with fieldstones. There is no identification but I am told it is the grave of one Mary Collins. She is between Belle Wright's grave and the next row. Grayson. Frances L. Grayson. July 24, 1885 - Jan. 30, 1929. Mother. Penland. Mother. Mary Penland. 1877 - 1937. ...Unmarked grave. Cobb. Captain Lemuel Cobb, Co. E, 47 Ala. Inf. C. S. A. August 25, 1830 - August 25, 2897. [Military stone.] ...Next to Capt. Cobb are three of his daughters and one grandson. Nalls. No stone. Mary G. “Lavisa” Cobb Nalls. Died 6 July 1893. [This was a dau. of Lemuel Cobb. Information supplied by Joe Nalls.] Wright. Leroy Jones Wright. Born June 10, 1853 - Died Oct. 22, 1913. Wilson. Alex Penland Wilson.
