Moon Cemetery
LOCATION: Section 17-5-2E. SW SW. Located on Cave Spring Road. John Wright obtained a patent on the SW/4 of the SW/4 on Oct. 2, 1832 in which this cemetery is located. The southeast portion of Madison County was the last part of the county opened up to settlement.
The following tombstones are all inside the circle made by the road that surrounds it.

Obituary: The Huntsville Times of 6 Nov. 1979. “Mrs. Edna McDonald of 3500 Triana Blvd. (Huntsville, Al.) died today at a local hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Cave Spring Baptist Church.
“Burial will be in Moon Cemetery with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge. The Rev. Thurman Knight will officiate.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Ruth Boles, Mrs. Sara Fisk and Mrs. Virginia Keel, all of Huntsville, Mrs. Murriel Wojcuszah of Chicago, Ill, and Mrs. Helen Burt of Massachusetts; a son, G. W. McDonald of Huntsville; nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
