Green Valley - Vann Cemetery. cycle accident near Hazel Green. A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Big Cove Holiness Church with the Rev. Mitchell Drake, the Rev. J. O. Brown and the Rev. Lonzie Byrom officiating. Burial will be in Green Valley Cem., Spry Funeral Home directing. “Mr. Treece was a native of Madison Co. and an active reservist of the 543rd U. S. Army Signal Corps. He was employed by the Jefferson Ford Co in Fayetteville. Surviving are a son, Shelby Allen Treece; his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Howard Treece; four sisters, Mrs. Viola Harris, Mrs. Marie Hyatt and Mrs. Bobby Sue Campbell, all of Hazel Green, and Mrs. Emma Jean Anderson of Huntsville; a brother, James H. Treece of New Market, and the maternal grandmother, Mrs. Alvie Horton of Owens Cross Roads. Pallbearers will be Elmer Alverson, Ed McCormick, Jimmy Gray, Mack Mason, Charles Wallace and Ricky Underwood. ECHOLS-KEEL CEMETERY. Section 21-4-2E. Approximately two miles southwest of Gurley in the NE/4 of the section. This cemetery is off McMullen Drive and was copied originally by Dr. Ezell Terry and his wife, Rebecca (Echols) Terry (now both deceased.) I have not personally checked these stones. Mr. Percy B. Keel also sent me information on a number of Keels he personally knew were buried here. Both sets of inscriptions are included here. 209 - (1192)
