Baker Sr., 68, of Rt. 4, who died Thursday at Fifth Avenue Hospital after a long illness, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Fred Manning officiating. “Burial will be in the Collier Cemetery with Laughlin Service officiating. “The body will be at the funeral home until one hour before the funeral. “Mr. Baker was a deacon of the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church and a retired farmer in the Hobbs Island community. “Survivors include two sons, Gerald Baker and C. O. Baker Jr.; two sisters, Mrs. Eula McDonald of Birmingham and Mrs. Bulah Milam of Meridianville; five brothers Randle Baker, Eugene Baker, Thurman Baker, all of Hobbs Island, Lester Baker of Huntsville and Charles Baker of Gadsden; two half-brothers, Burt Baker of Huntsville and Harry Baker of Guntersville; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. “Pallbearers will be Zollie Derryberry, Joe Fleming, Tom Sublett, Homer Barkley, Spencer Bishop, Jesse Whittaker, Vernon Parsons and R.
