Dickson - Rankin Cemetery, 87-2 Summary Report, page 3

details and photographs. Pertinent pages of his book have been digitally photographed and included in this series of Redstone Arsenal cemetery Summary Reports, with Dennis' kind permission. The subject cemetery appears as shown below: Rankin - Dickson Cemetery, 87-2, Redstone Arsenal, Madison Co. AL, April 26, 2003 View toward southeast from NW corner of cemetery, which is behind Igloo #8741 off Buckeye Road, west of the southern portion of Patton Road. There are four inscribed tombstones plus one base with the tombstone missing. Since earlv maps show the name of the cemetery as Rankin - Dixon or Rankin - Dickson, it may well be that the missing tombstone was for a Rankin, as no Rankin tombstones were found. After the caption was added to the photo above, Dennis' communication indicated that the tombstone base with no marker would have been for that of Sarah A. Dickson, a sister of Nancy and Virginia, who have markers in the cemetery. Additional overviews of the cemetery are provided below: 3 - (2859)
