Died in Jonesborough, Jefferson County, Alabama, Monday the 7th inst. MAJOR THOMAS MCHENRY of Montevallo, late candidate for Congress. July 19, 1823 Died in this town on Tuesday last, COL. EDMUND LANE... July 26, 1823 Died in this town Thursday last, Mrs. L. ALLEN, consort of WILLIAM B. ALLEN, Esq. native of Newburyport, Mass... August 30, 1823 Died in this town Wednesday last, Mr. NICHOLAS CROCHERON aged 33, formerly of New York but for the last four years a citizen of this town. September 13, 1823 Died in this town Tuesday last, Mr. JOSEPH MEGUS formerly of Brattsboro, Vt. aged 25. Died on Saturday, the 6th inst. Mr. JOSHUA RUMPH lately from South Carolina...Florence Gazette. September 20, 1823 Died in this town Friday the 12th inst. Mrs. HULDAH ALLEN aged 75, formerly of Massachusetts. Died in Cahawba Valley a short time since, COL. EBENEZER LEETH, a native of Tennessee. September 27, 1823 Married at Tuscumbia on August 21st, Mr. RICHARD B. BRICKELL, Junior Editor of the Alabamian, to Miss MARGARET COMMONS (note: Should be COMAN) Died August 30th in Knoxville, Tennessee, Mrs. E(LIZABETH C) ARM-ATRONG, wife of MAJ. F(RANCIS) W(ELLS) ARMSTRONG of Mobile, a bride of a few months. Note: She was dau. of WM. AYLETT and wife, MARTHA A. POSEY; and gr-dau. of WM. AYLETT and wife MARY MACON. Died in Selma on the 19th, MARY ANN, wife of DOCT. J.S.W. PARKIN... Died in Mobile on the 17th inst. DR. JOHN MEEKER, a native of New Jersey but for the last six years a resident of this county, when he moved to Mobile on February last. October 4, 1823 Died on the 28th in Shelby County at Montevallo, Mrs. HUMPHREYS, consort of DR. CARLISLE HUMPHREYS, late of this place. October 11, 1823 Died in this town on the 21st inst. Miss ELIZABETH D. CLARK, aged 20. Died Tuesday the 23rd last. Miss LUCY B. ALLEN, daughter of WILLIAM B. ALLEN aged 11 years. Died in this place on Monday last, GEORGE V. DICK, Esq. native of Scotland aged about 33. He emigrated to Richmond, Virginia about 3 years ago and became a resident of this place... October 18, 1823 Died at their residence, in Marengo County, HENRY WOOLF in his 78th year and wife ELIZABETH in her 76th year, after having lived together for nearly 60 years and raising 13 children, eleven of whom are now living. Both fell sick on 25th of September and expired within a few hours of each other on the 3rd and are buried in the same grave. He was a native of Virginia and fought in the Revolutionary War; he emigrated to this state from Kentucky in 1819, since which time he has resided in Marengo County. Departed this life December 12th, COL. WILLIAM LEE of Butler County ...Among the first ranks that volunteered for service on the frontiers of Georgia and commanded a brave company of freemen from Jones County... 8. - (3308)
