Died in this place on Wednesday morning the 22d, MARY ELIZABETH SCOTT aged about 4 years (poem).
Died in this town on Tuesday the 21st, ELIZABETH, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. JOHN CLARK aged 6 years.
Died in this county on 18th inst. CALVIN H. DAVIS in 12th year, son of Mrs. CHRISTOPHER DAVIS.
Died in this county on 22d inst., COL. THOMAS HENDERSON in the 50th year of his age. Native of Rockingham County, North Carolina. Very soon after he attained his majority, he removed to the city of Raleigh and became editor of The Star...The family of COL. HENDERSON are remarkable for intelligence, different members for a long time have been the pride of the bar and bench of his native State... About 1819 he emigrated to Madison County, Tennessee, where he lost his amiable companion... In the autumn of 1835 he removed to this county. His health continued gradually to decline until he received intelligence of the death of his son, LIEUT. RICHARD HENDERSON of U.S. Army, who fell with MAJOR DADE in the Seminole War, since which time he delicned rapidly until the period of his dissolution.
