WILSON, Esq. formerly of Tuscaloosa... Died near this place on the night of 7 August, Mrs. JULIA ANN TARTT, consort of Mr. JAMES B. TARTT in her 20th year, daughter of REV. Mr. TOWNS of La Grange, Alabama, and was raised and educated with all that pious care of her devoted parents... August 16, 1836 Died in this place on 12th in accouchment, Mrs. ELIZABETH MARRAST, consort of WM. MARRAST, Esq. Deceased was a lady of accomplished mind and heart... Leaves affectionate husband and infant daughter. Died at residence of his father in this county, Mr. ASEL MAY in his 25th year. Native of Tenn, which state he left and settled about 3 years ago in Ala. He has left a wife and 3 small children. August 30, 1836 Died in the vicinity of Livingston on 29th after a few days illness, Mrs. MATILDA CHAPMAN, consort of HON. SAMUEL CHAPMAN... September 6, 1836 REDDICK SIMMS, deceased. JAMES SIMMS, administrator. September 13, 1836 Died in this place on 9th of inflammation of the liver, DAMIEL WOMACK, Esq. in 25th year; emigrated from Washington County at early period of settlement of Sumter. He filled the office of Clerk of County Court with general approbation... September 27, 1836 Died in the vicinity of this place on the 20th, Mr. FRANCIS ASBURY SHUTE, a native of Washington, Beaufort County, North Carolina. Supposed to be about 25 years of age and was travelling to the west, perhaps to Texas. He was taken ill before he arrived at Mr. MIMM's 2 miles from Livingston, where he died. Remains were decently interred in public burying ground in this place. October 4, 1836 Died at the residence of his father, in this vicinity on Saturday the 1st inst., Mr. JOHN C. CUSACK, merchant of this place, in the 25th year of his age. Was among the first who cast destinies in our bereft village...Leaves wife and infant son. October 11, 1836 JOHN D. MIERS - saddler's business in Livingston. Married on 9th by W.P. JONES, Esq. Mr. WM. HENRY KNOX to Mrs. JENNETTA C. DOTSON, daughter of JOSIAH DABBS, Esq. all of this county. (In 1850 Census Wm. H. was aged 35 b. NC and she was 37 b. Va.) See our Vol. 117 p. 55 for marriage record. Died in this vicinity on Friday last, Mrs. PRISCILLA CUSACK, amiable consort of THOMAS CUSACK, Esq. in her 60th year... It was but last week that we announce the death of the only son of the above aged couple. Died in Gainesville on Friday evening last of apoplexy, COL. MOSES LEWIS in his 66th year... Died on 27th at residence of COL. HOWARD JONES, in the vicinity of Marion, Perry County, COL. ALANSON BROWN of this county in his 26th year. Died in the town of Clinton, Alabama on the 20th, Mrs. MARY JANE JORDAN, consort of BURRELL P. JORDAN, in her 20th year... October 18, 1836 PETER WELBURN, deceased.
