BLACKMAN about 36 years of age, formerly of Wayne County, North Carolina but for the last 2 years an inhabitant of this State. Raleigh, N.C. papers please copy. HARPER of Sumter County having determined to remove to the city of Mobile, the ensuing season, begs to offer his services to his friends as a commission merchant. August 1, 1837 Married in this county on Thursday evening the 27th at the residence of CAPT. WM. DRUMMOND by CLEVELAND ROBBS, Esq. Mr. JOHN J. DENMARK to Miss HARRIET DESHON. (In 1850 Census she was age 45 b. N.C. See our Vol. 117 p. 63 for marriage record.) Died in this place on 27th, JAMES RANDOLPH infant son of Mr. JAMES A. and Mrs. SARAH T. ABRAHAMS aged 10 months and 10 days. Died on 24 whilst on a visit at residence of JOHN C. PHARES, Esq. Mrs. CHARLOTTE DUNCAN in the 51st year of her age. Left husband and children... Died at the residence of THOMAS B. WALLACE Esq. near Gaston, on 25th, JOHN Y. HALLUM of Erie, Greene County, in 21st year...(Vol. 180) Died at his residence near Kintebish with a pulmonary affection which had prayed on him for many years, Mr. JOHN TAYLOR... August 2, 1837 The four following deaths occurred on the plantation of CHARLES GIBBS, 6 miles from this place in the family of his overseer, all by congestive fever. July 26 - LEONARD GIBBS aged 6 yrs. July 27 - Mrs. CLARISSA GIBBS, consort of FRANCIS GIBBS, aged 28 Aug. 1 - WILLIAM GIBBS aged 9 yrs. Aug. 2 - FRANCIS GIBBS aged 33 yrs.
