His youth passed amid agitations of his native Ireland until the year 1800 when he became a citizen of the United States... last 20 years Clerk of Circuit Court of Clarke and Sumter Counties... WILSON, Esq. (Vol. 117, p. 72) Januray 9, 1838 Married in this place Tuesday evening the 2nd by REV. Mr. HADDEN, JESSE WOMACK, Esq. Sheriff of Sumter County to Miss JULIA ANN BROWN. Mr. LLEWALLEN LEWIS of Payneville to Miss SARAH ANN, daughter of Mr. JAMES SAMPLE. (See our Vol. 117 p. 75 for marriage record.) Married in Greene County on Thursday evening last by REV. Mr. MANNING, WILLIAM W. PASCHAL, Esq., Editor of the Gainesville Reporter, to Miss PHEREBE, daughter of COL. WILLIAM HINTON. (See our Vol. 69, p. 10; Vol. 20, 0 26. In 1850 Census Greene Co. he was age 32 born Ga.; she was 35 b. N.C.) January 30, 1838 Departed this life at 9 p.m. on 16th inst. at house of his brother, CEPHAS L. WILSON at Salubria, Pickens County, Alabama, Mr. FRANCIS H. WILSON. He was a young man of high respectability... aged 21 years 1 month 10 days. Raised in Lunenburg County, Virginia where his parents now reside. Left that country in the fall of 1835 for this State; he had never since returned... February 6, 1838 Nothing of interest.
