November 29, 1851 Nothing of interest. December 6, 1851 Married on 26 November last by REV. F.B. LOFTIN, Mr. HIRAM BROWN to Miss ELIZABETH FOSTER, all of this county. Died near Intercourse in this county on 17 November last, WILLIS THORN in 29th year. (In 1850, he was 27 b. N.C.) December 13, 1851 Died in Montgomery on December 2, 1851, Mrs. GEORGENA R. RIGGS, wife of JOEL RIGGS in 29th year. (In 1850 Census Montgomery Co. she was 26 b. N.C.) December 20, 1851 Died at Downieville, Forks of the Yuba, California, October 14th, MAJ. JEREMIAH MANASCO of Alabama aged 39...Mason. (m. Miss PHOEBE HILL 11 Feb. 1846, Sumter County.) (Mrs. Guttery writes, 1962, "Our Jeremiah Manasco went to Sutter's Mill California with his nephew, CALTON MANASCO in 1849. This was JOHN'S bro. as CALTON W. was his son.) February 28, 1852 Departed this life on the 18th about noon at her father's in the village of Gaston, Sumter County, Mrs. HARRIET, consort of J.J. WATSON aged 25 years 12 days, second daughter of PLEASANT and FRANCIS WHITE. She was born near Greensboro, Greene County, Alabama February 7, 1827. Baptist. Married November 22, 1847...
