NORVILL and Miss FLORENCE WARE, all of this county. January 19, 1877 Died on the 15th near Payneville, this county, Mr. MATTHEW H. BOYD (49SC), aged 68. Resolutions on death of JORDAN H. February 2, 1877 Married at residence of Mr. JOE JENKINS on Jan. 10 by REV. C.R. WILLIAMSON, Mr. A.B. HARRISON and Miss ELLA C.H. PHILLIPS, all of Sumter Co. Married at the residence of Mr. J.L. SCRUGGS on Jan. 25 by REV. C.R. WILLIAMSON, Mr. HENRY T. ANDREWS of Hale Co. and Miss ANNIE B. HILL of Livingston, Sumter Co. February 9, 1877 Married on Monday Jan. 24 at Shady Grove Church by REV. H.H. MCNEAL, Mr. C.M.A. ROGERS and Miss LIDA J. ROGERS, all of Sumter Co. Selma papers please copy. Died recently at his residence in Red River Parish, La. Mr. JAMES M.N. ARRINGTON aged 54, brother of Mrs. L.F. WHITEHEAD and was raised in Sumter. In 1848 he removed to La. where he has resided ever since. DR. J.G. JACOB WATSON, a Baptist minister died in Tuskegee in Dec. last in his 97th year. Mrs. REBECCA PAUL of Butler Co. (to Mrs. GLENN) is in her 96th year.
