Miss.; Mrs. ELLEN FOY (23NC) and husband WILLIAM FOY (25SC), resides in Forest, Miss.; SARAH A. MOORE and EVELINE ELLIS, who reside at Brandon, Miss.; MARY E. FARR and husband, DR. R.S. FARR, who reside at Centreville, Leon Co. Texas; TAKE NOTICE THAT D(AVIS) FOY (39SC) and T(HOS.) T. FOY (3/12A) have filed the will of NATHAN AMASON, deceased. T(HOMAS) P. LEWIS, jeweler, an old resident of Tuscaloosa, died there on the first. In Covington Co. lives Mrs. RAINER aged 113, whose youngest child is 75. March 23 1877 Died of consumption at residence of his mother near Intercourse, Sumter Co. March 12, Mr. JOHN A. MCDONALD aged 33-5-27... Presbyterian. Died on 19th at residence of ROBERT MASON, of whooping cough, WILLIE, son of LEWIS and S.A. LANCASTER in 8th year. R. CHAPMAN, Jr. GUARDIAN of S. RUTH WIER, PETER WIER and CHARLES N. WIER, minors; also administrator of MARY E. MCKERALL, deceased. March 30, 1877 Married Tue. morning the 20th by REV. C.B. DUBOSE at residence of bride's father, J.L. TURRENTINE, Esq. and Miss TENIE, daughter of CAPT. J(ESSE) A. GIBBS, all of this county. Died in Gainesville on the 18th, CALVIN WIGGINS. Had been a resident of that place since 1832. April 6, 1877 DR. R.L. SEALE, an old and prominent citizen of South Sumter left a few days ago for Johnson Co. Texas to reside. State Items - Between Feb. 29 and Mar. 3, ZACHARIAH, DANIEL, VIRGINIA and JACKSON CHANDLER, all of one family died in East Perry of pneumonia. April 13, 1877 Mrs. MARY MCRAE MAY (1A), wife of Mr. R.C. MAY died at her home on Indian River, Florida on 21st. Daughter of the late DR. WILLIAM P. MCRAE (28Miss) of this county and step-daughter of our townsman, CAPT. W.A. JONES. She was married in 1868 (1866) and in 1873 removed with him to Florida. She has left a husband and three children... Funeral sermon of the late JOHN A. MCDONALD was preached in Siloam Church last Sunday by REV. A.J. SHELTON. Died on the 9th, near Gaston, W.R. HORN. Mrs. MARY E. LEE, guardian of J. MARSHALL and I.H. LEE. A.R. SCARBOROUGH, guardian of ADELAIDE, JAMES, MOLLIE and ALICE BILLUPS. State Items - DR. and Mrs. F(RANCIS) L. CONSTANTINE (46 France) of Birmingham celebrated their golden wedding on the 27th. (Greene Co. 1850 Census wife CLEMENTINE C. 36 NC, daughter of WM. R. and ELIZABETH HAMLETT.) MAJ. JOHN M. MOREY, formerly of Mo. and for many years widely known business man of Selma died in Dallas, Texas on the 29th. April 20 1877 Died on the 9th, Miss SALLIE A. SLEDGE, daughter of the late A(LBERT) G. SLEDGE aged 18. Died at her home on Indian River, Brevard Co. Fla., March 21, Mrs. MARY MCRAE MAY in her 29th year. Daughter of the late WILLIAM P. MCRAE of this county and step-daughter of CAPT. W.A.C. JONES, who married her widowed mother. She married Mr. R.C. MAY of Sumter in 1866 (right) and in 1873 removed with him to Florida. Previous to her marriage she was a Presbyterian, but joined the Baptist Church with her husband... Leaves her husband and 3 children, one to whom she gave birth but 3 days before her death. 45. - (3345)
