Highway 231-431 on Kennard Road (also called Elkwood Section Road). NOTE: This single, marble obelisk marker is across the road and a few feet east of the point where Edgar Gooch Road intersects with Kennard Road. This lonely marker leans and is tied to a tree for support. It once rested among other markers in this graveyard but past land owners have disrespectfully chosen to use more of the land for cotton and have destroyed the graves and markers. MOORE, EZEKIEL - Born Aug. 20, 1769 - Died Jan. 30, 1831. JONES, MARY - Departed this life May 6, 1855 in the 66th year of her age. Family notes: Mary was the daughter of Charles King. She first married a man named Bush. Her second marriage was to Ezekiel Moore as his second wife. After Moore's death she married Armistead Jones as his second wife. 119 - (336)
