Died at her residence near Jones' Bluff, Sumter County on the 25th of December 1865, HELEN AMELIA wife of ANDREW J. ARRINGTON aged 28 years 2 months and 5 days. Left a husband and three little children. Died with tuberculosis. January 13, 1866 Married at the bride's father's on the morning of the 20th by REV. E. PHILLIPS, Mr. T. W. WELLER of Nashville, Tennessee to Miss MATTOE, daughter of WILLIAM McREE. Married on the 26th instant at the residence of Mr. L. HOUPT by REV. E. PHILIPS, LIEUT. J. Z. TUTT to Miss C. M. TAYLOR, all of this county. Died on the 17th of December in Wilmington, North Carolina, JOHN A. KIRKLAND, formerly of Livingston, Alabama. He was a native of Greensboro, North Carolina but moved at an early age with his parents to Alabama. Editor and proprietor of Livingston Messenger. Married in 1863 and directly after returned to his native state and has been there ever since. He served until disabled as lieutenant in the 5th Alabama Regiment. Left a wife and infant child. H. W.
