Married on the 15th ult. at the residence of the bride's father by REV. A. R. SCARBOROUGH, Mr. GEORGE W. MASON to Miss ANNA FARR, all of this county. REV. S. J. BINGHAM, candidate for Supt. of Public Schools. Febryary 24, 1866 Married on the 30th instant by REV. PARKER, Mr. E. M. VANDIVER of Missouri to Miss S. J. CRAVEY of this county. Died on the 29th of January in this place of pulmonary consumption SAM H. CHILES in his 29th year. Native of Petersburg, Va. but had for many years been a citizen of this place. Died at his residence in Sumter County January 7, 1866, THOMAS RICHARD CREWS aged 52 years 6 months and 15 days. He was born in New Haven County, N. C. (New Hanover?) on 22nd of June 1813. Removed from his native state in 1837 and settled near Lauderdale Springs, Miss. In 1846, he removed to Gaston, Sumter County....People returned him to the Legislature from this county to the session of 1849. In May, 1862 he was elected Probate Judge. Became a Methodist in 1847.
