ADAMS (39 V), daughter of WILLIAM and MARGARET ROUTT was born in Orange County, Virginia September 18, 1813; married JAMES COCKRELL in 1834; moved to Alabama in 1839 and in 1843 (Aug. 21, 1842, marriage record) married a second time to AARON ADAMS of this county. Twice was left a widow with orphan children. In 1841, she joined the Baptist Church. Though she was poor in this world's goods, she was rich in faith...
