March 2, 1867 Died, CAPT. F. N. SMITH of pulmonary consumption in Livingston on the 14th at 9 A.M. Disease was acquired by exposure and hardships of imprisonment at Ship Island during the recent war. Of his private life, little can be said, as he passed almost direct from his graduating class to camp. He sleeps in the Livingston graveyard beside a brother and other relatives.... Departed this life, DR. JOHN L. HADLY (48 T), who was born May 11, 1802 near Gallatin, Sumner County, Tennessee and died at his residence in Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana on January 20, 1867....He emigrated to Greene County, Alabama in 1837, where he practiced his profession with success. In 1845 he moved to Sumter County. Here he abandoned his profession and was a planter. In 1863, he moved to Louisiana.... Departed this life----Mrs. HARRIET A. KENNEDY (44 NC), born in Jones County, North Carolina November 8, 1805, died December 28, 1866 after an illness of only a few hours. Was in comparatively good health, when she suffered a paralytic stroke....Wife and mother. March 9, 1867 DR. B. HAWKINS--Dental Surgeon. March 16, 1867 Died on the 14th inst. at the residence of Mrs. ELIZABETH McMILLEN in this county, DR. JAMES H. McDONALD in his 35th year. March 23, 1867 Departed this life--MEREDITH WEBB LYNN (30 A), who was born in Morgan County, Alabama November 19, 1819. In the year 1833 or 1836 he came to this county a poor, friendless youth without advantages of liberal education. ..He soon attracted the attention of the late JAMES PARKER. His business qualities as overseer rendered him indispensible...He married in 18-- Miss LANCASTER (AGNESS E. 29 V), who with 6 children survive him. In 1860 he became connected with the Baptist Church. After the death of Mr. PARKER, Mr. LYNN moved to Bear Creek where he died of typhoid pneumonia March 2, 1867 in his 47th year.... March 30, 1867 In memory of Mrs. ELIZABETH McCAIN (52 SC), who departed this life on 15th of March 1867 aged 69 years and 2 days. She was born in Fairfield District, South Carolina March 13, 1798 and moved to this state about 1826 and had been a resident of this county about 34 years. She died suddenly during the night. She was blessed with pious parents. Member of the Baptist Church. April 6, 1867 A. M. BROWNING, deceased. E. F. BROWNING, administrator. April 13, 1867 Married in Brazoria County, Texas on the 2nd by REV. Mr. SHEPPARD, W. A. WAYNE to Miss SALLIE ABRAHAMS (9 A, daughter of JAS. A.), both of this place. Married on the 28th at the residence of the bride's father in Madison County, Mississippi by REV. W. C. CRANE, GEN. S.A.D. GREAVES to Miss JENNIE, daughter of COL. W. F. BATTLEY. April 20, 1867 Married on the 11th at the residence of Mr. ASA AMASON near Sumterville by B. B. THOMAS, Esq. Mr. I. R. WILSON of Missouri to Miss M(ARTHA) 0. LEWIS of this county.
