February 22, 1868 Departed this life at the residence of Mr. H. S. LIDE in Sumter County, Alabama on Monday the 10th inst., Mr. JERE H. BROWN (BROWNE) (48 SC) in his 67th year. Native of Darlington District, S.C. and graduated in that state in Columbia in 1824. Removed to Alabama and became a resident of Sumter County in 1834. Deacon in Baptist Church. Left 2 daughters and 1 son. Has gone to join a pious wife and his little children.... Departed this life, DR. A(UGUSTUS) E. BRECKWAY (36 Conn) February 15, 1868.
