NOLAN killed a Mr. FEARS at Tuskegee Friday night by shooting him. GOVERNOR SMITH offers a reward of $400 for the capture of WADE BYNUM, colored, the murderer of a Mr. BOUNDS, who lived near Florence. A man named JACK CARPENTER was shot and instantly killed by BILL EATON in Eutaw last week. An altercation occurred between JACOB PALMER and JOHN GRUBBS living near Eufaula last week, which ended in the killing of PALMER. Two hand cars collided on railroad near Demopolis on the 15th resulting in the death of a young man named ROBERT E. ALSTON from Marion Station and wounding of two others. October 1, 1869 Married on the 18th at the Presbyterian Church in Payneville by REV. E. ANDERSON, Mr. J. T. ORMAND and Miss ROXANA ELLIOTT, all of this county. ISAAC W. SANDERS of Madison County accidentally shot and killed himself while hunting last week. RUFUS J. REID (See Vol. XXXIV, p. 65) of Marion, late Solicitor for Dallas Circuit has been indicted by Grand Jury of Dallas County for bribery. Mr. JAMES LEAKE of Montgomery County was thrown from his buggy on Sunday of last week and died from effects of the injury the next day. CAPT. E. G. FLEMING has been required to give a $2500 bond for stabbing GEORGE W. FISHER (See Vol. XXI, p. 32) in front of the Methodist Church in Huntsville a few days ago. October 8, 1869 Married on the 30th at the residence of the bride's father by REV. A. R. SCARBOROUGH, Mr. J. L. MITCHELL of Texas to Miss BETTY A. HORD of this county. At the same time and place by same, Mr. W. H. COLEMAN of Mississippi and Mrs. JUDITH A. HEISLER of this county. On the evening of the 29th in St. James' (Episcopal) Church in Livingston by REV. F. R. HANSON, Mr. OLIVER C. ULMAN and Miss SADIE TANKERSLEY, all of Choctaw. Departed this life in Livingston on Tuesday morning the 28th, MARGARET ANN (25 A), wife of DAVID H. TROTT (38 NC). The deceased was the daughter of JOSEPH and JANE (64 NC) JEMISON and was born in Perry County, Alabama June 24, 1824. Married near Livingston August 26, 1841. Joined the Episcopal Church in 1856. Leaves a husband and children to mourn her loss... October 15, 1869 Mrs. ANN PEAGLER aged 102 died in Butler County last week. 92. - (3392)
