SAMUEL SWILLEY (53 G), deceased. N. SWILLEY, adm'r. H. J. HAZLEWOOD, guardian of HENRIETTA HAZLEWOOD. FRANK A. LESLIE, an estimable citizen of Mobile died in that city on the 28th. He had resided in Mobile since 1847. October 13, 1871 DR. WILLIAM R. KENNARD of this place left last Tuesday for Texas where he intends to make his future home. October 20, 1871 JOSEPH LANCASTER was born October 13, 1850 and died on the evening of 23 September 1871. Since the death of his father, ALBERT LANCASTER (40 V), which occurred in May, 1870, he had care of his widowed mother and two sisters. FREDERICK HINES, deceased. J. P. HICKEY, adm'r. M(ARION) A(UGUSTUS) BALDWIN for many years Attorney General of Alabama died near Montgomery a few days ago. October 27, 1871 Married by REV. A. R. SCARBOROUGH on 25th inst. at the residence of T. A. JOHNSTON, Mr. A. L. KORNEGAY to Miss J. A. SHERARD, all of this county. By REV. A. R. SCARBOROUGH on the 18th at the residence of the bride's father, E. E. MIMS to Miss NANNIE McGOWEN, all of this county. By Esquire SILIMAN on the 9th at the residence of Mr. JOE McGOWEN, Mr. SAMUEL HALSELL to Mrs. FANNY PRATER. Died at the residence in this county on Wednesday 11th of October, 1871 of yellow chills, WILLIAM R. DAVIS aged 40 years. Born in Greene Co. Ala. and removed to this county when an infant, where he continued to reside until his death. Leaves one daughter aged about 13 and a large circle of distressed relatives. The writer of this sketch knew the deceased for many years and can say that he was true and generous hearted friend, an obedient son, a kind father and pure patriot... State of Alabama-Sumter Co. (Son of ALEX and SARAH W. (EMOND) BAIRD.) COL. THOMAS McC(ARROLL) (45 NC) PRINCE of Choctaw died at Mt. Sterling on the 13th ult.
