HOUSTON (51 T), who has resided in Livingston for last 35 or 40 years died very suddenly at his residence in this place yesterday morning. Funeral from the Presbyterian Church. March 1, 1872 Estate of ELBERT AMASON, deceased. ELI AMASON, executor of will. March 8, 1872 Another old citizen gone! Mr. J. W. HARRIS who has resided in Livingston for last 36 years died on last Sat. morning. This makes four of our oldest citizens who have died in 4 weeks. March 15, 1872 CAPT. J(OSEPH) J. LITTLE born in Edgecomb Co. N. C. May 8, 1820, met with violent death in Warsaw in this county Thursday 22 Feb. 1872 (killed by C. E. TARTT. March 1 issue gives account of it.). Leaves wife and 9 children, five of whom are helpless. Estate of W(ALLACE) S. NEALE (27 NC), deceased. F. P. SNEDECOR, administrator. March 22, 1872 Mrs. AMANDA M. POWELL, wife of HON. E. A. POWELL died in Tuscaloosa on 9th. Death of Mr. STEPHEN WEDGEWORTH, an old and respected citizen of Hale is announced. COL. CHARLES FORSYTH, commercial Editor of Mobile Register and son of its Editor-in-Chief died in Mobile a few days ago. JAMES NOBLES was shot and killed by some unknown party near his house in Bullock Co. Mr. JOHN F. BONDURANT and Miss SALLIE DRAKE were married in Marion on 29 of Feb. 1872 (Gadsden Times). March 29, 1872 Death of HON. R. H. SLOUGH, ex-mayor of Mobile is announced. Mr. JOHN ROBINSON, an old and respected citizen of Montgomery died suddenly in that city on 21 of heart disease. REV. FATHER CORNETTE for long time professor of Mathematics in Spring Hill College died in Mobile on 21st. April 5, 1872 Died at the residence of Mr. THOMAS B. CANNON on Feb. 24, Mrs. LEVINA LUMMUS (wid. of JOHN D., Vol. 180, p. 37) in her 77th year. Native of South Carolina but had resided in this state over 50 years. M.E. Church. Died in Gainesville on 2nd in 75th year, ROBERT BRADSHAW, Esq., a citizen long and well known and greatly respected. Death of COL. CHARLES R. GIBBS (63 V). Another old citizen gone! Died at his residence near this place yesterday morning. Approaching close of 86th year. Been a resident of this community for 36 years. (See 1812 pension.) April 12, 1872 HON. SHELDON TOOMER, late Representative from Lee Co. in the Legislature died in Opelike on 25 of last month. April 19, 1872 Mr. JAMES HUTCHINS, an old citizen of this county died near Sumterville on 6th aged 78. Petition to probate will of JAMES L. HUTCHINS (56 SC), deceased. L. T. PORTER and L(EMUEL) T.
