DILLARD, one of defendants is a non-resident of Alabama; that when last heard from, he was at Jefferson, Texas and is over 21. SHELTON, J. L. SHELTON, E(VELINE) H. FRAZIER (m. JOHN FRAZIER) and A. J(ANE) PERVIS (m. ISAAC PURVIS), defendants are non-residents of Alabama; that they reside at New Albany, Miss, and are over 21; that N(AOMA) M(ALISSIA) BLACKBURN (w. of JESSE DANIEL BLACKBURN), a defendant resides at Marshall, Tex. and that she is over 21. (N. M. BLACKBURN b. Aug. 2, 1831, d. Sept. 5, 1899.) August 30, 1872 JOHN RITTER (48 NC), an old citizen of this county died in Birmingham on the 22nd. He resided in the northern portion of this county and had been on a visit to the neighborhood of Birmingham for several weeks. Death was very sudden. Estate of BRYAN CROOM, deceased. A. M. GERE and husband W. B. GERE (she formerly being AUGUSTA M. CROOM), administratrix. September 6, 1872 On the morning of Sept. 1st, Mr. WILLIAM K. USTICK (43 V), one of our oldest citizens died. Had been a citizen of Livingston for the last 36 years. Died on the night of Sept. 1 at the residence of her father, Mr. CHAS. BALL near this place after a long and painful illness, Miss LENA BALL in her 19th year. Tribute of respect to W. K. USTICK, deceased, by Board of Councilmen of Livingston held Sept. 2; states he moved from Virginia to Livingston in 1836. Has for many years acted as Magistrate in our town. Impartial and honest judge. September 13, 1872 Mrs. HANNAH HYDEN, who has for a long time been an invalid at the residence of her sister, Mrs. W. K. USTICK died there last Tue. the 10th. REV. JOHN W. BOOTH died in Mobile a few days since at the age of 86. He labored extensively in the ministry in Ala. and Miss, and was the first to organize a society of the Methodist Episcopal Church in Mobile. COL. M. J. WILLIAMS of Selma died at Shelby Springs where he had gone for his health. Formerly proprietor of the Selma Times, one of the most esteemed citizens. September 20, 1872 Died in Birmingham August 21, 1872 in his 69th year, JOHN RITTER (48 NC) of this county. Born in Edgecomb Co. N. C. and moved to this state about 1834. WILLIAM J. SIMS, deceased.
