WASHINGTON (45), an old and widely known citizen of Sumter died at his residence at Washington's store on the 24th ult. October 9, 1874 MR. JOHN SPROTT, an estimable citizen residing near this place died Wednesday morning. October 16, 1874 Died near Butler, Choctaw County September 27th after a protracted illness, ANNA S. (11A) wife of MR. W. H. JOHNSTON. Deceased was a daughter of the late S(tephen) W. MURLEY (37 SC) of Livingston and was greatly esteemed for her many virtues. Her family has our sincere condolence. Estate of WILLIAM E. WASHINGTON, deceased. Notice to JOHN WASHINGTON and JAMES WASHINGTON and to the other children of JOSIAH WASHINGTON, deceased whose names are unknown, all of whom are non-residents and next of kin of WILLIAM E. WASHINGTON, deceased. You will take notice that JOHN B. WASHINGTON has this day filed his petition praying the court to probate a certain paper purporting to be the last will and testament of W. E. WASHINGTON. ELISHA FLETCHER COX, SARAH WIGGINS, by next friend, CALVIN WIGGINS versus W. H. NEVILLE, as adm'r et al., Chancery Court Sumter Co., Ala. By affidavit of T. D. COBBS; states he believes that MARTIN V. LACY and JOHN BROWNING are non-residents, but that their residence is unknown. MR. CHARLES BALL, an honest man, a worthy citizen and obliging neighbor died at his residence near this place last Sat. Tribute of respect to his memory by Livingston Lodge #41.
