DAVID MOSELEY had his new residence near Bibb Mills which was nearly completed, burned Tue. night. THOMAS E. MASON, a son of the late GEO. L. MASON of Wetumpka was drowned at that place on 17th. MRS. GOTHARD, a very old lady living in lower end of this county was run down and killed by a Passenger train from Montgomery last Thurs. about 2 miles below Calera. She and her daughter were crossing trestle. April 17, 1873 Married at residence of bride's father near Montevallo on 16th by REV. W. H. MEREDITH, MR. THEODORE M. ALLEN to MISS MATTIE M. PERRY. Died at residence in Montevallo on morning of 20th, JAMES ADAMS an old and respected citizen of this county for many years identified with Central Alabama and was known generally to have been a man of great energy and sound mind and good Christian character. RHETT, editor of New Orleans Picayune and JUDGE COOLEY, counsel for presecution in a recent libel suit against that paper fought a duel last week. JUDGE COOLEY was killed at the 2nd fire.
