Died at the residence of his father in Scott County, Ky. on Monday last, HON. DANIEL P. COOK, late representative of the state of Illinois in U.S. Congress. Died on 7th inst. after a short illness of a fatal disease prevailing in Wilks Co. MATHEW TALBOT, Esq., candidate for the place of Governor in opposition to JOHN FORSYTH, Esq. An appeal to the friends of missions-contributions to be given to WILLIAM S. JONES, Russellville, JOHN HAYNIE of Tuscumbia, ROBERT B. CARY, Courtland and NATHAN KIMBLE, Decatur. JAMES SAUNDERS, ALEXR. SALE and FINCH P. SCRUGS, traveling preachers. November 14, 1827 County Court of Franklin, State of Alabama. JESSE VANHOOSE, administrator of estate of WILLIAM WILSON. Died at residence of COL. ANTHONY WINSTON on 8th inst. CAPT. ANTHONY WINSTON, Senr, in 78th year of his age. Deceased was a native of Virginia and emigrated to Tennessee at an early period. "It is due to his memory to state that during the gloomy hours of '.76 he fearlessly arrayed himself on the side of his country and struck for the liberty which we now enjoy. Left a large and respected family." Died suddenly Tuesday evening last, GEORGE WHITE, youngest son of COL. JOHN J. WINSTON aged 2 years and 4 months. Departed this life on 11th inst.
