EBEN MATTHEWS, formerly of this city died in Selma on 15 of consumption aged about 22. Remains brought to Tuskaloosa and interred in the old cemetery.

Sorry to announce the death of MR. HIRAM PETERSON, father of MR. H. D. PETERSON. Died at his home about 16 miles NE of Tuskaloosa on Tue. last. He was one of the oldest citizens of the county, being about 80 years of age and was a soldier in Indian War of 1835. Remains brought to this city and buried yesterday evening.
Died in Selma on the 28th, MISS ANNA POTTS.
