MARTIN, deceased of Tuscaloosa. Elder J(ONATHAN) P(ARKER) THOMPSON (s of (illeg) ) was born in N.C. 1795. At age of 5 his father moved to State of Ohio, where resided for 5 years and again removing, settled in Lancaster District, S.C. where the subject of this notice lived 37 yrs. At age of 22, he married MISS SARAH CROXTON (d of JOHN)--12 children, 10 sons and 2 daughters, 7 of whom, together with the aged mother, still reside. At 23, joined Baptist Church. In 1842 he moved with his family to Ala. and settled in Tuscaloosa Co. where he resided until time of his death. Died 18 Dec. 1875 in 80th year. Married in Fayette Co. Ala. on 13, MR. FARGUHAR (FARQUHAR) and MISS HARRIS. Died in Sumter Co. on 3, MR. GREEN W. GRANT. In Montgomery Co. on 20, LIZZIE ELBERT, infant daughter of MR. and MRS. JOHN W. SIMPSON.
