Four of his children, one grandchild and a traveller perished, two others fatally injured (Mobile Register 30th ult) April 24 1829 Died in Cahawba on 14 inst. DR. THOMAS LESLEY, formerly of Abbeville District, SC May 17 1829 Final settlement of estate of WILLIAM PICKENS of Greene Co. Commissioners are: J. B. STICKNEY, JOHN MAY and WILLIAM L. DUFPHEY. June 5, 1829 Bibb County, CIVILL KORNEGAY versus DANIEL KORNEGAY--suit for appointment of trustee. Complainant by her solicitor, DANIEL KORNEGAY non resident of the state. June 12, 1829 Departed this life at 9 o'clock evening of 2nd inst. MR. WILLIAM JEMISON in 51st year after severe illness of nine days. Left wife and several children. Before LAWRENCE CARR, J. P. in Bibb County appeared MICHAEL PIRTLE and WILLIAM CLEMENT and swore to description of horse taken up by WASHINGTON CLEMENT. July 3, 1829 Died in vicinity of Greensborough lately, MR. WILLIAM H. BARRON, printer aged about 19. In Greensborough on 17th June, DR. JOHN HUNTER, formerly of Pendleton District, SC July 10, 1829 Letters of administration on estate of WILLIAM JEMISON granted to ROBERT JEMISON, JR. and ROBERT JEMISON, SR. HENRY CHILES, administrator of estate of Hatch Dent, deceased of Marengo County. July 17, 1829 Married in this place on Thursday evening 9th inst. by REV. DR. CHRISTOPHER, THOMAS CHILES, Esq. of Greene Co. to MRS. THIRZY DELOACH. Note: This is THIRZA (HAGOOD) CRAWFORD, widow who m. SAML DELOACH, JR. who d. 1822. She was THOS. CHILES 3rd wife. Died in Williamson Co. Tenn, at residence of her father, COL. N. T. PERKINS, on 24th ult. MRS. SARAH M. SNOW, late of Tuscaloosa. August 7, 1829 Married on Thursday evening July 30 by REV. JAMES HILLHOUSE, MR. JOHN BURK to MISS HANNAH GARRETTSON, both of Marengo Co. (see our Vol. 39 p. 13) Married at Berkley, Charles City County, Va. on the 8th ultimo, CO.. ANDREW PICKENS of Dallas County, Ala. to MISS MARY W. NELSON of the former place. Married on Tuesday 28th ult. by REVD. T. ALEXANDER, JOSEPH PICKENS, merchant of Selma to MISS CAROLINE J. HENDERSON of Pleasant Valley. Died in this town 23 ult. ELIPHALET, second son of DR. A. L. ACEE aged 7 years. Died on 30th ult. SAMUEL FARNESWORTH, Esq. native of Groton, Mass. aged 39 years.
